Down Under Ullie Birve started her career in her native Australia in 1987 as a “Commando” in the Carrie Fisher/Dean Stockwell sci-fi flick The Time Guardian. The next few years found the young, comely Ullie in yet more bit parts such as “Young Woman on Train” in 1988’s hit mini-series The Shiralee and as “Robbed Woman” in the more cinematic 1993 effort Bad Boy Bubby. Fortunately, Ullie finally made it up a rung or two on the proverbial ladder to success in 1994 with a heftier role in The Life of Harry Dare. Since then, she’s pretty much stuck to more promising roles in such films as The Territorians and Lust and Revenge, as well as on the television series Something in the Air but every now and again, she picks up another bit part, such as her turn as “Waitress in Toilet” (Now isn’t that a descriptive part?) in 1997’s Kiss or Kill. Ullie most certainly stole the show, though, in 1995’s Epsilon. In it, she plays the lead alien visitor, “She,” who apparently has never heard of the concept of “clothing.” All the better for us the viewers, as she spends a few memorable scenes with her enormous, Mother-of-Earth hooters and ballistic belly beard in full view of Mr. Camera. Suffice to say, it’s worth a look…
